  • How to Add Multiple Flash Video Players in One Webpage

    One of our dearest customers once has submitted an article about “how to add multiple flash video players onto one webpage” to our forum, unfortunately we just experienced a terrible break down of our server several days ago and sorry to say we have lost that article.

    I’m rewriting here to express our sincere apology and hope other guys shall find this article useful and interesting.

    First, Please refer to the detailed tutorial or my previous blog to learn how to create a flash video player with Moyea Web Player.

    Then, let’s come back to the topic: how to add multiple flash video players in one webpage?

    Suppose there are three videos awaiting in the playlist and you want to use three flash video players to play them respectively, let’s see how:

    Flash Video 1: Keep the default “play item” serial number and “flash content” serial number.

    Flash Video 2: Change the “play item” serial number from “0” to “1” and accordingly, change the “flashcontent” to “flashcontent1”

    Flash Video 3: Analogically, Change the “play item” serial number from “1” to “2” and change the “flashcontent1” to “flashcontent2” as well.

    Note: “playerOpts=playItem*0*i” means the player is playing the first video in playlist. Analogically, “playerOpts=playItem*1*i” means the player is playing the second video. The “flash content” serial number also has to be changed accordingly.

    • im trying to upload a video on youtube but every time i try it says, “File Format Invalid: The file you are uploading is not a valid video file.” and i dont see what i have wrong with the video.

    • Ok I got this working fine but, with the 3rd player in the chain the flash file won’t display in Safari & Firefox the 1st two videos diplay fine, then when i get to the 3rd on the pag the player doesn’t load at all. It works fine in IE8, Opera and chrome. Weird couldn’t work out why. Please help!

      Hi,
      I tried to follow the method above, but I do not get a serial number in my code. The code I get is this:

      var so = new SWFObject(‘mwplayer.swf’,'player’,’500′,’450′,’9′);
      so.addParam(‘wmode’,'opaque’);
      so.addParam(‘quality’,'high’);
      so.addParam(‘allowfullscreen’,'true’);
      so.addParam(‘allowscriptaccess’,'always’);
      so.write(“flashcontent”);

      So there is no line saying “Player wil show here” or the one below saying player 0pts etc.

      So, how do I go about it or where is my mistake?

    • Hello,

      You are on the right track. However, The code you got above is just for one player. If you want to put another player on your website, please just upload the video you want to play, repeat the above steps, and get another code for your second player, but you have to add some different numbers behind “flashcontent”, for example, “flashcontent” for player 1, “flashcontent1″ for player 2, “flashcontent2″ for player 3, etc. Please refer the details in the blog and let me know if the problem still remains.       I’m afraid it is just not working.

      Both files are uploaded, I made a separate script for both files, and here is the entire code:

      I am just greeted with a blank screen, that’s all.
      Hopefully you can see my mistake in the code.

      First, pls make sure those video files are in the supported formats like FLV, H.264 coded MP4, MOV, 3GP and 3G2.

      Second, pls upload all the generated files except index.html to your web server.

      Third, pls copy and paste the complete embed code to your website, but revise it a little bit like this:

      Does this work the same for multiple flash players on different pages? I don’t want a playlist! I want a player on specific pages that when accessed, load the video I want for that page and that page only.
