Traffic counter problems

Postby Fraggles on Tue Sep 14, 2010 5:57 pm

I created a player, uploaded the files and the player plays and I installed the Traffic Counter feature.
I believe I have all the needed files. Although I do not see the addonslist.xml file...? is it working properly?
I chose JS to retrieve count. How do I see the count?
Thanks. Here is the webpage with the player:

Hello,

Thanks for your support in Web Player.
Please check you add the below code in your webpage to get the video data via JS API:
Code: Select all
<script>
function mwplayer_counter_callback_func(idx, caption, path, playerid, date) {
alert(idx+'\n'+caption+'\n'+path+'\n'+playerid+'\n'+date);
}
</script>

Any question, feel free to let us know.

I placed that code in the page. when I go to the page I get a pop-up alert that says:

0
Alaska/video/Regent.flv
player
2010.9.16.11.10.12.135

Help!?!?!?

And if we do get the counter script running properly, WHERE do we find the count?

Thanks!

Hello,

The pop-up means the plugin worked.
Actually the Traffic counter API just provides the interface to counter, and you need to build to get data.
Please add the below code in your web page following the code “<DIV id=flashcontent align=center></DIV>”:
Code: Select all
<script>
var counter=[0,0,0,0];
function mwplayer_counter_callback_func(idx, caption, path, playerid, date) {
counter[idx]++;
}
</script>
<input type=button onclick="alert(counter[0]+'\n'+counter[1]+'\n'+counter[2]+'\n'+counter[3]);" value=counter>

And then check.

Any question, feel free to let us know.

Best regards,
