Specifying playlist via addParm?

Postby dlewis on Tue Sep 15, 2009 3:31 am

Is there a way to use "addParam" to specify multiple videos to load as opposed to using xml? I want to dymanically define
the videos that are to be loaded.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in our software.
The code syntax for multiple videos is so.addParam(’flashvars’,'playerOpts=playListPath*^caption^path^image^clickurl^clicktarget^endurl^styleoftarget^endtarget……*s’);, for single video is so.addParam(’flashvars’,'playerOpts=playListPath*^caption^path^image*s);
and you could refer to the tutorial at http://www.playerdiy.com/blog/playerdiy ... ng-videos/.

Besides, there's also examples at http://www.playerdiy.com/support/tutori ... -html.html about edit the flash video player with code.
Any other questions, please feel free to let us know.

I'm trying the single approach first, but the following code will not yield the video.
1. everything is in the same directory
2. I removed the xml file which contained this
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<playlist>
<playitem caption="test this" path="22044-914200810844.flv" image="22044-914200810844.jpg" options="" clickurl="" clicktarget="_blank" endurl="" styleoftarget="browser" endtarget=""/>
</playlist>

But............ still no video. What am I doing wrong?

so.addParam('flashvars','playerOpts= playListPath*^'
+ 'video1^22044-914200810844.flv^22044-914200810844.jpg^^^^^^'
+ '*s');

One other question tho. I'm assuming the , due to evaluation, I won't be able to see the video in my development website, is this correct?

You could see, but there will be a "PlayerDIY.com" logo on the video.
