Procedures of the Best-Looking Flash Video Player Selection

Timetable and deadlines you have to remember and pay attention to:

1. Apr, 06th, 2010 - the contest will officially commence. Two days after Easter Day.
2. Apr, 06th - Apr, 30th, 2010 - submit URLs where your web player is located by EMAIL or OUR WEBSITE.
3. Apr, 06th - Apr, 30th, 2010 - player submission, our internal audition and the selected player demonstration will be in process simultaneously.
4. May, 01st- May, 31st, 2010 – public voting process.
5. Jun, 01st – Jun, 06th, 2010 - final judgment of PlayerDIY Software Team.
6. Jun, 07th, 2010 - winner announcement.

Please DO NOT submit the same player twice and please DO NOT submit it both from email and website.

Qualifications of the Best-Looking Flash Web Player Creators

Please make sure you meet all the mandatories below before submission:

1. You MUST be a user of PlayerDIY Web Player, either for the free version or the registered one.
2. You MUST publish the Flash Web player under one of your domains.
3. You MUST submit the exact and complete URL where the player is located.

Criterias of How the Best-Looking Web Player is Chosen

Appearance does count, however, inherence can be more impressive. So we'd like to go a little bit further than just skin deep:

1. Your submitted player has to be good-looking, that's for sure. Your submitted player has to match the entire website style(theme, color, layout etc.)
2. Try to implement diverse player functions as much as you can. For example, add an advertisement, set skin style, set playback mode etc. Click here to see how you can be inspired to customize an unique web player.
3. Make sure your submitted player is useable: the videos are playable, links are linkable, and of course, your website is loadable.

Note: Due to this contest is publicly available, we kindly require all the uploaded video contents are legal and healthy. Anything not suitable for public display like lawbreaking or politics-sensitive will be prohibited.

Tips that Can Increase Your Chance to Win

Some little secrets that will make your web player just different from others and move you one-step closer to the champion:

1. We would appreciate if you can use at least one or some of our diverse plugins to extend the capability of your web player.
2. It's Easter Day and many others will come. So we would appreciate if you can adopt some festival-themed skins we just published here to celebrate those special occasions.

Note: we don't guarantee your web player will be named winner even if you have adopted above tips. It's just more favorable for us and it will only make up 30% in the final score indicated previously.

How We Score Your Submitted Flash Video Player

This is how scoring system works: public voting point(70%) + bonus point(30%) = Final Winner.

1. Example for the calculation of public voting point: if the highest vote number is 100 and your actual vote number is 50:
Your public voting point = 70/ highest vote number*actual vote number=70/100*50=35.
2. Example for the calculation of bonus point: if the highest number of plugins and skins used is 15 and actually you use 5:
Your bonus point = 30/highest number used * actual number used = 30/15*5=10

Note: PlayerDIY Software Team may have the right to interfere the bonus point calculation according to the actual performance of web player.
